Recurring Sore Throat is it Office related?

    Hi all,

Not too sure if this is the right forum.

I was in Mongolia on my holidays about 2 months ago and developed a very bad cold which I have still been unable to fully shake. Depending on how tired I am my throat can vary in soreness. I am not a fan of antibiotics so have been dosing myself with Multi vitamins and Vit C tablets but it keeps on recurring.

I have made an appointment to see the doctor today as I am quite concerned that it may be tonsilitis etc.

Anyway, one of the reasons I have put this post together is that my office at work contains the computer network system database in it and the ventilation is non existant.

My colleague who shares the office with me also has said to me that although he is a smoker and does cough alot, he coughs exessively at work and it is far more reduced at weekends.....

Do you think that this may be important to mention to the doctor?

Your doctor is best to evaluate all of this. the trouble with posting on an internet forum is even though I am a doctor, I cannot give you any information as I must ask specific questions and also examine you to find any signs to assist in a diagnosis. this is unfortunately not possible.

Go to your GP and they will assist you further.
