I shall be living in the US for the next 12 months. Although I read many of the articles from bodybuilding.com now I'm living in the US I was wondering if it's the best site to buy supplements from? I train weights 3 days/week with day between each session.

Usually I would take Whey pre/post workout. For other times during the day does anybody have recommendations as to whether to take a casein based protein shake or another option I'm considering is protein bars, prob the low carb ones as I'm still training to reduce bf %.

What are peoples opinions regarding protein bars? They're relatively cheap to bulk order which would save me having to mix protein shakes at work. I want to use them as a meal replacement.

Come to think of it, does anybody know how to make protein bars??

    Thanks in advance

There are a lot of sites cheaper e.g.
    Nutraplanet
    BulkNutrition
    Dps
    Vitaplus

Bulk-nutrition is probably the cheapest across the board, well spotted! They're going heavy on the marketing at the moment but I know a good few guys in the states who use them.

My personal addition would be www.trueprotein.com - you can customise your own proteins as well as it being very cheap. This not only includes choosing the types of proteins and flavours, but whether you want added glutamine, creatine, carbs etc. It's a really cool set up, but for me or anyone else to do the same here would take 6 figure capital (I know the co-owner, sort of) and there isn't enough of a market in Ireland, even Europe, to justify it at the moment. If you want I could get you a discount code if you use it...

    Thanks for the replies lads.

Interestingly enough I had been looking at buying this previously since it contained whey, creatine and glutamine in one product.
    http://www.lef.org/newshop/items/item00611.html
    Serving Size 1 scoop
    Amount Per Serving
    Creapure® creatine monohydrate
    2 g
    L-glutamine
    3 g
    CFM™ isolate whey protein
    15 g

on True Protein its significantly cheaper. I would still use LEF.org for other supplements but goes to show how good of value TP site is.

I'd certainly like to look into buying in bulk from True Protein site.
