Every Time I Die were supposed to be supporting but now there is a rumour that Alkaline Trio are instead supporting MCR this Thursday.
They are supporting them on some dates on their Fall/Winter tour, but never confirmed Ireland...
I'm just wondering has anyone else heard this rumour? Cause the Trio are beasts compared to My Chemical Romance!!!

    i ****ing hope not.

alkaline trio are good but it should be the other way round, alkaline trio headlining and My chemical romance supporting.

if this is true however, i'll try and get tickets i presume they are all sold out?

Yeah all sold out... Was never interested in goin to MCR but now I've heard Alkaline Trio might be playing... Ahh!!! They should be headlining from the beginning...
But anyway I need confirmation from anybody that they are/aren't playing!!

This is the only thing I would begrudge bands like MCR about. I don't mind if they exist, and all. Let them have their fun. But when they start taking the headline spots away from decent bands, I can't be happy about it. I'm not such a huge fan of Alkaline Trio, but it still annoys me. When Millencolin supported Good Charlotte I went a bit mad. Still didn't play Ireland though...

Oh God I hope they don't play. I adore Alkaline Trio, but I don't have a MCR ticket. If I can't enjoy them, then nobody else can!

that is just plain wrong to be honest.

    Threads like these are funny.

Alkaline Trio haven't supported them in the UK so far, so why would they make an exception for Dublin? Also, this is not an arena show like the US, this is the Ambassador we're talking about. The crowd's are smaller, the money's lighter and the fact that they could easily headline the venue themselves? Forget it.

And plus, every time I die are amazing. I love Alkaline Trio, but to be honest I'm more excited about ETID then I would be about Alkaline Trio.
And MCR are great live, so it should be a good gig.

<Shameless Plug> Well I have a ticket FS for the gig over in the FS Tickets Forum if anyone is interested... </Shameless Plug>

I noticed the inbetween bands background music was Alkaline Trio, actually. For the most part, any way.

it was Alkaline Trio for between Drive By and Every Time I Die, but before MCR there was some ****e dance and rap stuff until 2 Jimmy Eat World songs, Futures and Jen(was surpirsed about that cos Jen was never released!)
