Did they not learn from the previous so called movies?

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0293429/

Also, the Mink has directed "Into the Sun" (2005) and "Full Clip" (2004), which were seemingly both crap.

The first movies suffered from just looking like made for tv movies, despite decent budgets. Added to that it looked like they got a blind man to both direct the movie and choreograph the fight scenes.

With a bit more effect Mortal Kombat *could* be something good. I'll have my fingers crossed for the third installment but won't keep my hopes up.

Ya this was announced about 2 years ago, been following its development for a while now. Christopher Lambert is coming back as Rayden though, thats definitely a good thing. Some of the names rumoured to play Sonya Blade have included Trish Stratus of WWE , but she didnt get it

I think martial arts films are going downhill in my opinion. Unless I'm missing any that are actually good that came out the past 3 or 4 years.

Although I'd probably watch the new MK film for the hell of it. I am a big MK fan after all and I find it impossible to be disappointed with any Film based on a game because it's always gonna be mediocre at best :P

Am I the only one that thought the original film did a decent job of sticking to the game? Also it was enjoyable.....in a "Starring Arnold Schwarzenegger" way. Y'know............mindless.

At least it's not Uwe Boll. :pac:

I quite enjoyed the first film; the second was horrific. That said I was ~12 at the time!
