Hi looking for advice please! I have a new sky+ box in the bedroom, and an ordinary sky box down stairs. However just noticed that I cant order or watch
any sky box event from upstairs.I can downstairs,as new sky card
is in the old box.I tried switching cards but neither will accept
the change. What can I do to fix this???I have another sky+ box and installation
ordered for thursday for another room, should I ask the fella who is doing
this to sort it out?? Or will he charge me extra??(like the last man)€40.00 for a length of phone cable I already had.
    Thanks

Bext of my knowledge, cards are twinned with digiboxes. Once activated against a box, it cannot really be used in another.

Why did you put the new card in the old box?
Did the old box not have a card?

Is this s SKY multiroom setup where both ards are mirror subscriptions?

Might have to get a replacement card from Sky for the Sky+ box.

The fella who installed the new sky+ box switched the cards
not me!He hadnt a clue what he was doing and took him 3hrs to
install the sky+ box it was his first installation,he was having a
bad day,the ladders fell off his new van when he was reversing
and damaged the bonnet.Said he would never do anyone in our area again
wouldnt give me his phone no either.I was glad to see the back of him as he
was totally stressed out,and the language was choice.
Hope its not him on thursday.

If that's what happened, you are more than entitled to approach the company who installed it. Tell them to resolve the issue. Otherwise you will be out of pocket.

Thats good news.I remember he rang them and wanted to
activate the card but the old card was in the new box and
he called out the new no from a piece of paper he had in his hand
so he activated the new card in the old box without realising
the old card was in the sky+ box (confused or what)
    Thanks for the help.;) ;);)
