Sky Plus v2.5 - dearer?

I remember reading on here before (can't find it now!) that if you are getting Sky Plus, make sure to get 2.5 rather than version 2, because it has more hard-drive space and is generally more reliable.

So I was saying this to my supplier - and he said the one with the larger hardrive is a €500 box, rather than €300 which the other one is.

Is he right in that the 2.5 is a dearer box - or did I confuse him and is he talking about a box with a higher spec that the 2.5 which has an even bigger hard-drive?

Any help/guidance would be very much appreciated - thanks

He is probably referring to the sky 160 box (its rubbish dont touch it) The 80gb box is available at €299 including quad lnb but check with sky first as they are doing it for as little as €69

€299? what rubbish. I would like to see what idiot would pay that price when there have been €149 and €69 offers around for ages.

do you make a habit of making incorrect statements? €299 is the recommended retail price of sky + box and quad LNB. This is set by sky. As I have already pointed out lower prices are available for new and existing customers subsidised again by sky. The 69 euro offer has not been around for ages, it has been around for a matter of weeks as advised by Big Paddy. Guess you did not read his posts on the subject
