Okay, I have an Ibanez in this colour:

but it has one less string :(

Anyways im bored of the plain grey'ish colour and looking to spruce it up a bit, now my original plan was to strip the paint off and have it natural after I saw someone who has the same guitar who has done it and I think it looks savage:

It does look better in real life than the pic but you get the idea. But on my thrawl through cyberspace I found John Petrucci graphic kits! My mate thinks its a terrible idea but I think it would be savage to have them in black on the grey guitar a la:

Just imagine the white as grey! Am I crazy for wanting an early 90's art deco stlye on my guitar (which will be so retro soon it will be ultra cool) or should I just have it natural!

If you like the graphics then go for it,
and black on grey won't be as drastic as black on white.
also if you get sick of it you can always get it striped later much harder to in the opposite direction.

I must say I prefer the grey to the natural finish. The black designs could work well.

Just go mental, strip the guitar, put on a flame maple veneer and die the faces onto it in various colours ;)

I did a quick (albeit slightly intoxicated) approximation of it:

Although, a metallic silver finish with the black overlay would look rather spiffing too!

indeed it is quite sexy but the black bits could very easily done using insulating tape :p
