Feedback on site

Hi.

I'm doing a stie for the Indonesian community here in ireland and would like some feedback on what you guys think of it.

I know that not every page validates properly, but I generally know where the problems are with this and will be fixing them soon enough.

I'd like to know what everybody thinks of it, all feedback and friendly criticism \ abuse is much appreciated.

That sky-blue/teal colour is really distracting... maybe choose something a bit less harsh.
The whole colour scheme makes it hard to concentrate, I'm trying to read the main body text in the center of the page, but my eyes keep being drawn away to the crazy blue colour... the whole page reads like an optical illusion.
Maybe you should draw some colour inspiration from the nice logo you're using.

I'd change the link colours aswell, purple on sky-blue is just nutty-looking.

The columns on the far left and right could use more padding, as the letters wrap right to the edge, which makes it look a bit scruffy.

I'd probably ditch the duplicate functionality of the bottom menubar aswell.

I think structurally the site is alright, it works, but you really need to rethink the colours and presentation IMHO.

why don't you incorporate the colours of the indonesian flag onto your site instead of the blue? the pacific blue colour is a bit harsh as mentioned. For your links as well, you might consider removing the underline and altering the colour for a while hover?

Echo the previous comments: Out with the blue & pad the side bars.. Tel number is wrong on front page. Be a bit more personal and welcoming than "Regards, Admin." Good luck with the site!

Thanks for the feedback. I didnt' think the colour scheme was there myself.
The problem is that I'm **** at picking colours.

why don't you incorporate the colours of the indonesian flag onto your site instead of the blue?

I thought of this but the indonesian flag is red and white so I think it will still be a bit too much. And I was also asked to use light colours.
