Some nice pictures there manta mad. Are they for sale or is it just a gallery?
I'll bet ds is going to get excited when he see's all those Citroen DS's.:D

Lovely collection of pictures there. I like the look of some of those Peugots - the '74 Peugeot 504 GL in particular.

    Great link manta mad!

Here is another good pic link : www.vea.qc.ca/vea/club/voitures1.htm

Two pics which catch my attention in your link ........
(Incidentially, I saw several mint Fuegos in everyday use when I was living in New Zealand last year!)

Some of the cars seem to be in a museum/collection.
Note the reg plates on display over some cars, and the date of 12.5.2000.

.....and I reckon BrianD3 will love the Renault pics ! :D

Yep, great pics :) I esp. like the R16s, R30s and the 5 Alpines. The Citroen and Peugeot pics are also great.

Pity there's no KE30s though :) <edit> obviously I didn't look hard enough, there is one there, a green 2 door saloon

    Didn't notice the K30 yet ?!

BTW, Did you guys notice the 1973 Datsun 1200 for sale (€2500) in the current Buy & Sell ?

It has a ZV reg (import) but must be a rare car nowadays!

This site was already in my favourites - DSs are common as muck now :) Still the greatest car ever made of course, but so common.

    I like this....

I am delighted with those pics in that link - especially the CX's and of course the 504's. I must drool a little better later as I am presently looking for my cool shades so that i can take the ... well have not decided yet for a drive.

There just is always some snag to taking the classics for a drive.

    ds20prefecture,
Is that a Citroen Ami ?

Yep - an Ami 8 Break, based on a 2CV.

The saloon version was a little "challenging" in the looks department. The car was designed by Flaminio Bertoni, he of 2CV, Traction Avant and DS fame. He regarded it as his greatest work

He must have been suffering from Alzheimers at the end if that was his greatest work!:D :D

the link is from a Dutch Classic French Car specialist, but it's the "Archive" pages, so all pictures are from the cars they have sold in the past.

This is the link to their up to date stuff:
    http://www.delest.nl/indexnew.html?main=/html/voorraadlijst.html

The entire site is in Dutch, so if anyone needs a translation, let me know!

I have visited these guys a few times, but I have never purchased from them. Their quality of cars is exceptionally good, but unfortunately with a price tag to match, making their cars a tad bit expensive when they reach Ireland... !!!!
I like their 'brand new' condition first series Renault 5 with 22k km's on the clock!!!

Some pictures of a 1962 Cadillac just in from Canada with only 55k miles from new.

Is that your next project Junkyard, it's a beaut. A guy in cherryorchord recently bought a 55' or 56,not 100% sure which, air suspension, big wings, small mileage but big big money. If that is your next project, any chance of starting a thread like that guy did on the VW site, be interesting to see a complete resto of a classic like that caddy.

............now thats what I call a REAL car !

I juts love thos finned Caddy's. The '59 is so outrageous, and I always wanted one. I now feel that the look of the early 60's ones is tighter !

Do you mind me asking the cost ? PM me if you like. I was hoping to purchase something similar next year, although at the rate things are going it seems unlikely. Still a guy can dream cant he !!

That's an amazing Caddy Junkyard - would love to know more about it - where & how you got it etc. Is it yours? Well done if it is - seems to be almost perfect.:D

No, I'm afraid its not mine. It belongs to a friend of mine who brought it into Ireland last week. Its only one owner from new and only needs a new front bumper and some paintwork. I'm hoping to bring a 1959 Cadillac superior hearse in from the states next year.....hopfully:) like the one in the photos.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,495 ✭✭✭Abelloid

Now that's something I would love to see, those fins and bullet lamps are the business :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,084 ✭✭✭dubtom

The yanks really do it with style, don't they. People will be dying to get into that hearse, Junkyard

    Sorry.I couldn't resist.:o

I think there could be a business opportunity here with classic hearses like in the UK and the states. The modern hearses are just so plastic looking compared to the classy looking Cadillac. I know which one I'd prefer at my funeral!:)
