hey guys, i want to buy a home cinema and am wondering will i be able to connect my pc to the receiver/amp and be able to play out music over the home cinema?

Yes. What you will need is a 3.5mm to 2 phono cable like this one. The 3.5mm end plugs into the audio out on the sound card and the other end goes into your receiver.
