Copying a VCD to DVD

    Is this possible?
    I have a 2 disk vcd which i want to convert to DVD and burn
    Anyone know how?
    I have googled for software - unsuccessfully

    This won't be much help, but it sounds like a waste of a disk, the quality will be muck.
    You could try this alternatively.

    Its fairly easy.

    Explore the VCD on your computer. Open up the Mpev folder (I think thats what its called, its the largest folder)

    Copy the .dat file to your hard drive, and rename the file as .mpg (its an mpeg file anyways)

    Burn a video DVD using your burning software like Nero. Will def play in the DVD player if the VCD does.

    I don't think you have to reencode the files, all you need to do is copy the video files from the (S)VCD and rename em .mpg as mentioned above, and just burn them on a DVD as if they were a normal data. Then your player should recognise the files, and play em as per normal. Unless its a crap player :p
