Changing Aer Lingus flights...

Need some help / info regarding changing Aer Lingus flights - specifically my flights home to Dublin over the Christmas period:)

At the moment I have 3 flights booked (Heathrow -> Dub return and then a single to Dub for New Years). I'm not going to be using the single flight for New Years but I'm thinking about moving forward the date that I fly home on.

Firstly is it straight forward to move around flight dates booked using the aerlingus.com website?

Secondly, presuming it is possibly what's the best option for me given the selected flights above? Just move the single flight and then return on the return leg of the return ticket (make sense to anyone?) or is there a way of combining the prices of my two tickets?

I'm expecting to have to pay a little extra at this stage but any info would be great ;)
