Can anyone recommend a broker who specialises in high performance cars?

Just got my renewal from Quinn Direct and its gone from 1300->1800

Car is a 99 M3 hence the need for a specialist broker methinks...

AXA seem to be reasonable depending on your age - Hibernian wanted 2400 from my 56 year old dad for insurance on a 00 328i Coupe, AXA were 1050 fully comp which was reasonable enough....

I would have personally have thought that 1800 on an M3 was good though :)

Well it would be if I had paid 2200 and not 1300 last year - I thought insurance was going down not up :(

Yes, that's a bit savage. Try St Pauls (they deal with brokers only though AFAIK)

    Chauffe, Marcel, chauffe!

Ring all insurance companies AND all brokers, TheWanderer

Strangely enough, I've gotten the best quotes for 3 years on a row now through Frank Glennon for my V8 BMWs

Tbh €1300 is extremely competitive for an M3, even if you'd have 70 years NCB ;)

There are no performance car specialists in this country - only in England. Just ring everyone for a quote because you never know who'll give the lowest. Tbh, if the insurance company don't actually laugh at me and I'm not chased by villagers with torches and pitchforks I think things are going well.

If you really do have a 99 M3, then E500 shouldn't be of consequence.

Believe it or not I managed to get a quote this morning of 1700 on a brand new EVO VIII!!

Well I do and it does matter - why should I pay any more than I have to

Frank Glennon, through a group scheme.

There was a proviso though. They would only upgrade the current policy I have with them and once it needed renewal I'd have to leave the group scheme and look for insurance from their normal brokerage services because it's an excluded car.

In other words I'd have to sell it next July.

I know it sounds odd, but have you tried getting a quote as a new customer through Quinn Direct? A girl in work had a quote from them that was 500 cheaper on a 316ti as a new policy than it was for her to switch over from her Punto... If it is cheaper then you have a decent argument to go back to them with...

The unfortunate thing for you is that 1800 is a good quote on an M3 Evo, can't see anyone matching it - its ridiculous that its gone up so much though from last year.
