    http://www.tiny.com/packages.php?prodid=11924
£1239.00 (GBP) - When I mailed them a while ago regarding having a machine shipped to Dublin, I was quoted £50 delivery fee, so i'll assume it's going to be ~100GBP as this would be heavier.
    so 1339GBP == 1,912.93 EUR according to XE.com

When remember that getting what you paid for is not a good story but a statutory obligation on the part of the retailer I can say I've not heard of any good stories about Tiny from any genuine customers.

    Read lots of bad ones....

Add me to the list of those who've heard horror stories.

I bought one up north 4 years ago (AMD 900) and, to be honest, I had no trouble at all with it. It was a good price, I got a pay 9 months later with no interest deal on it, which was very handy at the time and I was very happy with it. I only recently partly scrapped/partly upgraded it (there's a few remnants in my current machine whirring away happily).

Support will be tricky if you have problems though. With the knowledge I have now I'd probably build my own with that sort of cash. You could build a killer system for 1900.

i guess there ok if you REALLY dont know what your doing..just dont bust it :p

id never go back now tho

TBH you would build a better machine for the same money. To spend nearly 2k on a system and only get a mid range 9800xt is ludacris. Here is a far superior system for the same money. All prices and product numbers are from jes-computer.de.

18485 CPU AMD Athlon 64 3200+ Winchester Box
    205.00 EUR

    17659 MB ATX S939 MSI K8T Neo2-FIR
    103.99 EUR

    17548 DDR PC400 1GB Corsair TWINX1024-3200LLPR
    339.98 EUR

17381 256MB Sapphire Radeon X800 Pro ViVo Full
    429.00 EUR

    15962 HDD SATA 200GB Western Digital WD2000JD X 2
    211.98 EUR

17665 DVDR IDE NEC ND-3500A Dual beige bulk
    67.89 EUR

17000 DVD IDE LG GDR-8163B 16x52x black bulk
    22.99 EUR

13799 GEH Midi Casetek CS1018 Silber Metal
    59.00 EUR

    15055 Netzteil Tagan TG480-U01 480W
    79.90 EUR

    18293 TFT 19" BenQ FP937s analog/digital
    429.00 EUR

Total = 1,948.73 EUR ex del.

That's the new winchesters which are supposed to be very good for overclocking. You should be able to get 3800+ speeds out of it. If overclocking is not your bag then you could change that ram to cheaper stuff and save about 100e. I'm sure the amd heads could recomend a better mobo but that one is decent. You could change the x800 for a 6800gt if you wanna go nvidia but that one has video in and video out. The case is alright, better than a tiny one but you could change it to something u prefer. The monitor I listed has a 12ms response time compared to the 20ms of the tiny model. Seems to be a bargain for a 12ms 19" lcd at 430e. I'm considering buying one myself. Add maybe another 50e for a decent mouse and keyboard and you have a complete system. All that's missing now is the 5.1 speakers so you could either pay extra for these or save some money on other parts like the ram to keep it at the same price.

Support is rubbish (unless you live in the US)
    Build quality poor
BIOS upgrades flakey and systems seem prone to incompatability issues with memory.
In general, make Fujitsu Siemens look good and Dell look stunning.

    How could I have forgotten

    e-Machines are worse

Better off building your own or getting from Dell or something.. avoid Tiny.

TBH you are paying a bit over the top for what you are getting. Also the one person I know who actually bought a machine from them when they traded here in Blanchardstown ended up in the courts with them. They ran out of the republic. For the money you are spending I would definitlely consider building one. Maybe get some advice from ppl who have already built one.

BTW I've just noticed Komplett will now build you a PC from componants you choose on their site. I have no idea what they charge to put the system together but its certaintly worth a look. www.komplett.ie.

I know a similar spec'd pc could be built for cheaper .. I just thought it was a pretty alright deal for what was being put in the box.

I'm only pricing around at the moment, but if I did go for a machine I'd either have Komplett build it, or I'd build it myself ... we'll see though!

Now that I think of it they are terribly awkward to deal with. I remember spending a couple of days calling around various departments trying to find someone who could actually handle my query and knew what they were talking about. :)

I do believe I gave up after talking to about 7 different people. Oh well...
