Sorry about the title but it's all I could come up with. I am a regular here but I find this a little embarassing.

For a while now I've been having a lot of discomfort while going to the bathroom to do a number 2. Sometimes after a tough session(from pain, no signs of constipation) and I wipe their might be some traces of blood. I can then feel a lot of discomfort for while after. At the weekend I took a mirror and decided to have a look to see was there any visible signs of anything. At the edge of my rectum there is a small growth, about the size of the nail on your small finger. Its at this point where I feel the most discomfort. Could this be anything serious, maybe piles? I'm in my late 20's, male, good diet, reasonably fit although I spend all day sitting.

this is not a medical forum and only a doctor can tell you for sure what’s wrong – sounds to me like there is a possibility that you could have haemorrhoids (small growth), if that is the case the doctor will prescribe medication which will get rid of them.
    Get to the doc, asap!

Thats not small, get thee to doctor. It might be piles, but I DON'T THINK SO!

Sometimes this place sounds like the Blanchardtown Roundabout of Troll Haunts.

Drink lots of water, get some extra fibre and cut down on the fat. Get some exercise.

If it bleeds and isn't meant to bleed talk to a doctor. If the blood is part digested talk to doctor ASAP.
