Whats your opinions on the Fender Tele Mex Standard? Thinking about buying one of these in the near future. For comparision, my current guitar is an Epiphone SG G310!

MIM have an odd reputation, some are garbage while some appear to outplay MIA Fenders. Try one out, if it feels good, go for it.

  • save up a little longer and get this Beauty!

Yeh, I wish! Bit rich for me at the moment tho!
Has anyone ordered from them yet? Whats the delivery times?

  • DR. J got a bass from them, ITs so worth it mate, save up and get it, it's the thinline one with that unique finish, don't think you can get it outside Japan!

We have a MIM tele. It's good, solid guitar. Action is a little high compared to a MIA strat we have, but it's only ever been set up by yours truely and that isn't saying much. It gets played a lot more than the strat so that's saying something I guess!

If I was buying again I'd go for something from the japanese shop, there are a few nice models there that are just a little more than a standard tele.

One week indeed. The Fender Japan stuff is pro quality, many of them have Fender USA pickups. The bass I bought is as good as anything else I have. Definitely worth saving a bit extra.

I'm with Doctor J, the mexi's are strange, my advice is, if you find one in a STORE that you love, buy it, don't order on, the QC on the mexi stuff is awful, one will rock, the other will suck.

  • Masto? Have you decided what you're getting? I couldn't reccomend the isahbashi guitar itself more, and since the good doctor had zero problems with them i think personally you should go for it! (Especially since if absolutely everything goes well i'll follow in your footsteps and get one in the new year(2006 :( )!)

I do believe daram is getting an Aerodyne bass from them too... for about €500 less than you'd get one in town, I believe :D

Always wait the little extra while and save the money to buy the best. I waited an extra 2 months to get my Gibby LP custom, It was so worth the wait :)

The Japanese fender stuff is ****ing well worth it :)
