Overview before getting Sky Connection HELP!

    Ok,
This is the story. Wife, 4 year old and me abotu to move into new house. Wife is adamant we are getting Sky cause while we were waiting for the house to be done we had crap altogether terrestial TV reception. So far enough.

So there is no phone line in the house so we would be getting the non-phone line connection.

now what should I be getting done other than the basic Sky connection to try and future proff the system, or at least allow me to expand it later. I guess at some stage i might look at getting an old second hand box or somrething to put in the second room to get the FTA channels in there at least. So that means I would need a quad LNB for starters yes? So could I get the standard Sky install but ask for a quad and pay the difference. Should I ask for an 80cm dish as opposed to a 60 to be sure the signla is good? Also, that means that if i dropped Sky after 12 month contract that I'd have a better dish to go pointing somewhere else?

basically, for you experts out there, what would you yourself do at the very start to make sure you could expand later in terms of your basic set-up being right...

    Any ALL suggestions/help welcome!

he just mentioned to me about contacting everyones favourite satelittle installer...who I shouldn't mention i guess. Thats all
I was going to do that but I don't want to bother the man with dopey questions until at least i know what i am talking abuot. So anyone care to recommend what they would do to say have some kind fo good viewing set-up accross a few rooms. I know that saw I could use a digisender to have a singnal in the bedrrom from the main room. The idea being that you usually would be watching in either the living room or bedroom so one box would serve both.
but tis to try and make another room have more channels....bear in mind the amount of fecking kids channels the young one will want to watch...need a refuge from that!!!!

I was pointing him in direction of a partic boards user who also runs a business. Didn't want to be seen as pimping on boards, even thought the user in question is excellent and good value. Isn't there a no advertising rule?

if you're still at first fixing and can run cable I recommend that you get 2 runs of CT100 co-ax to 2 points in every room. Bring them all to a single place - probably in the attic. Buy one of those multi-way (I have a 10-way Triax box) that allows you to connect the 4 cables from a quad-lnb and share the lnb among several Digiboxes.
Alongside the CT100 run 2 sets of CAT-5 cable to the same locations. These can serve for either phone or ethernet.
