Just wondering what the story is with Hotmail space upgrades. They've been promising it ever since Gmail came out but I haven't seen anything of it yet. I've been told it goes on the order in which you joined, but I've had a hotmail account since 1998 and still nothing.

Neither have I, I think it might be for the paying customers? Or did they always have lots more space anyway?

I like gmail for its space but personally I find gmail a little confusing ( and im not an tech n00b). I think it all looks a little cluttered and I seriously hate the fact that u dont have a contacts list when u compose a new email. When you have numerous ppl you want to send an email to and your not sure what letter the email address starts with or what name u stored their address under its a bit of a nightmare while in hotmail u can just tick the ppl u want to receive the email.... Which is why I still use both Hotmail and gmail.

To answer the original topic no my account hasn't been upgraded.

Only solution is to go into your contact list and select who you want to send an email to and the click compose! I have to admit I was a bit confused when I first got my gmail account - but I love it now! I love how it refreshes itself and new email come in without hitting send/receive or check new mail.

I have a gmail account it's okay :) It's just I still get mail to my hotmail account and I can't be bothered switching everything over. Would be nice if my hotmail account wasn't constantly running out of space. Maybe Microsoft is only giving extra space to very light users so they can look good yet not have to give any extra space really.

Its all down to location... as I have just discovered.

One of my Accounts location is Northern Ireland -> i.e in the UK. All UK have been upgraded.

The other is a different location.. not in the UK. hence the 2MB.
