Running FM '05 over Internet using HTTP Tunnel

A friend of mine is having trouble connecting to his mates server to play FM 2005. It's looking like it's a firewall/proxy problem and I was thinking that maybe some HTTP tunneling software would do the trick. Has anyone set this up before to work with this game or something similar?

I think your supposed to disable the firewall while playing FM online.

this chap is living in an apartment that has braodband piped in from a business below them so connect to a LAN to connect to the internet. Unfortunatly the firewall is a problem as he cannot modify it to allow the playing of games.
