    Hi,
just this week my G4 iMac has been behaving strangely towards my USB devices. When I plug something into the USB, it's not recognised straightaway, but when I restart the computer, the device is there on the desktop. Can anyone help me please?

    Thanks!

Seen it happen ok on a few USB devices i have e.g. Hard drive, Wifi card, etc... Normally I found hot swapping the port usually kicks it back into action (apart from the hard drive which normally reqires a reboot or either the hard drive or comp)

just one of those things I guess ?

If its only happening recently have you tried a software update, should update drivers etc..
