    my computer is totally fecked. sick to the teeth trying to sort it out. want to restore my computer to factory settings. only thing is the cd i got for doing this is broken.

    is there any genius out there who can tell me a way i can sort this out. or even how to delete everything but essentials from my computer

    Try going to start > programs > accessories > system tools > system restore... you might be able to roll back the computer to an earlier date.

    Failing that, perhaps ring the company for a cd? They might charge you but it'd be worth it mebbie?

    system restore only lets me go back a few days. yeah i was thinking that myself bout ringing them up. ah well. thanks for yr help anyways
