I must say that I love this song.
I am a great fan of irish folk music (and celtic one) although I can say I am one rare example here in italy; however this song is strange, so rich of history, of emotions, of Irish style..
Do you know or like this song?

Of course sorry for my english, I am trying to improve it talking with you too ;)

The Pogues were hard to pigeon hole and this song is a perfect example of how well they achieved the cross of over to Irish folk. Excellent song and lyrics.

"If I should fall from Grace with God" was a very good album in general, had all styles of music on it, as far as I know this song was written by Phil Chevron.
Personally my favourite on the album was Fiesta, was a very unusual song and was great fun.

I was at a gig in London last w/end and saw a fantastic band called WarbleFly. Anyone ever heard of them? They're electric folk, very very much like the Pogues. Its much more of fast rockier pogues than the ballads. Keep your eye out. They're amazing!!!

Thank you for the suggestion. I must look around for them.. in Italy is very difficult.
