Ford have confirmed the sale of the Jaguar F1 team to energy drinks company Red Bull. They'll need to work hard on their downforce technology for 2005.... That stuff gives you wings...

So Klien guaranteed a seat in 2005.

I wonder who Red Bull will get in to run the team. They going to be the "new Jordan" with the Page 3 girls, and the Rock Bands and the Fun???

Maybe Tony Purnell will still run things? Anyway, seeing the team on the grid in Melbourne is the most important thing. If Red Bull invest that $400 million wisely (unlike Ford before them) then the team will improve in leaps and bounds in the next few seasons.

It will be interesting tho to see how the money will be spent.

Will they spend the majority of it on the cars, development and such to try and
make the car more competitive or will it be spent on raising the profile of the
team and such to attract sponsors and such..

When you look at it on paper $400 million is a lot of money but in F1 terms its
not a huge amount especially when spread over 5 years and having to
    redevelop a team from scratch.

Anyone know if Ford will continue to supply them with engines or where will
they come from. As if they dont have a deal struck up with manufacturer,
then there is a huge chunk of their budget gone on engines.

Jaguar were improving staedily in the last 2 seasons so hopefully the investment of some new people and a bucket of money will continue the improvement and we might even see a Jag winning some races over the next few years.
