    Hi,

I'm a singer/songwriter living in East Clare and I'm in the process of forming a band to perform original material....just wondering if there are any drummers in my part of the country who might be interested?

East clare!?!, what town? (I'm from flagmount, but livin in kildare). I've only met one desent rock drummer in the whole of clare! plays with naked bare if yef heard of em. I know a few that have a bit of a blues-rock outfit goin close to home, only prob is theyre all children of the 60s if you know what I mean :D

    Howya Eoin,

Thanks for taking the time to reply. I think I know a few of the people you might be talking about alright.....haven't heard of that band you mentioned though....are they worth checkin out? Maybe I could have a chat with the drummer, what age group are you talkin'? I'm late 20's (jaysus, late 20's.....I'm old!). Ideally though if they were in or around the same or older it would be great, there might be more of a chance we are on the same wave length music wise.

I'm playing with a fiddle player and pianist at the moment and like I say am only in the early stages of trying to get something off the ground but would be happy to go and have the chats with the drummer you mentioned if they were doing a gig locally at some stage....I'm from Mountshannon by the way!

Ah I did a few discos in the mounshannon hotel during the dance music days. All of these guys are forty at least, I honestly dont think these guys would be willing to start anything serious. If your still interested i can get you a phone no. They do little jam sessions in pubs around home on thursdays I think. I know a guitarist called raymond mooney from mountshannon, ages since I spoke with him tho, he might know more: 0879115649
