    so what does the word "exocet" mean then?

    AFAIK it's a type of french air to surface missile.

    They were in the news a lot during the Falklands war, as the Argentinians were busy firing them at the English.

    Don't know if it means anything else. The merriam-webster online dictionary doesn't know anything about it, and my real dictionary is it at home.

    I think it means "COP THIS ENGLISH IMPERIALIST PIG" or something to that effect. French sell them in 6 packs.
