i have my helix pierced and i want to get the fleshy (not cartilage) bit of the rim of my ear where the 'industrial' bar comes out below the helix with a tiny ring.

can this be done or does it hace to go thru the cartilage here?

feel your ear with your finger tips. if you've got a little fleshy bit in that area they can probably pierce it once its wide enough. shouldn't be any problems as far as i can see.
