Nothing's up on this site, so I decided to throw up something just in case you didn't know that the Students' 10K walk is happening this Thursday! :D

Each year, thousands of students participate in the walk which raises money for children affected by the radiation of Chernobyl. In 1986, No. 4 reactor exploded, releasing 80-90 times the amount of radiation from Hiroshima upon the surrounding area. Though Chernobyl is in the Ukraine, over 70% of the radiation fell upon Belarus.

The money goes directly towards helping those dying from Chernobyl.

More information is available here :

    10K Walk Homepage

There are Stands in the Hamilton Building and Arts Block from 12-2 each day. Also there are people collecting in the Buttery and all over the campus next week.

Please give anything and everything you can!

The walk itself leaves Front Arch from around 1 p.m. on Thursday the 18th of November - keep an eye out for the thousands of students! Do come and participate, if you can, come in costume!
