Which pda?

Hi folks
looking for a little advice. I'm planning on getting my better half a pda for xmas. At the moment it's either the Dell AximX30 standard or the Palm Zire31. Does anybody have any advice on why not to buy either one or is there a better model out there for a similar price. I'm expecting to pay about €300 to get it all (carry case etc).

i have the older axim, and i've used hp/ipaqs + palms, and i just recently bought a sony clie from ebay (nx80v) and i reallllllyy like it, screen is better than any out there, has a camera etc, only bad thing is u need a sony wifi card, but anyways, got it for €280 so i'd recommend a clie

I have an Axim x5 - I like it 'cos it has dual SD and CF slots, so you can have both a memory card and a CF peripheral installed simultaneously. I suppose it comes down to the planned use for the PDA. Will it be used more for entertainment purposes (e.g. watch movies, listen to Mp3) or will it be used for contact/calender management type stuff ? If it is the former or both of these, I'd go for the Axim. Zire is probably cheaper/lighter and I'd guess better battery life. My two cents...

Some news on PDA's by Sony are stopping mufacturing them for a while-Reason unknown. So i would expect a price drop in some of them soon.

friend got one for €400 and its sweet out loads in it,plays movies and camera and loads other gear.
