    just got broadband. what i'm wondering is if i use the lead from phone line to modem that i used with my dial up modem will it affect speed. its just the lead i got with the broadband is a little bit short.

    Test your speed with the short cable then switch and try your long one. It really depends on the quality of the cable..

    If you get a DSL signal on the modem with the long cable then you will get no problems on the BB.
