hi im goin to a lan at the weekend need to keep my lcd safe is im going to bring it figured out my laptop case fits is pretty well but the base would have to stick out the top thus it would be upside down, can that in anyway damage the monitor??

Short answer - no. Just don't bang it off anything. The front of the screen is the area you want to protect the most. Securely cover it to resist any scratches.
