[untitled- i still cant think of titles :P]

A tumbler sat uncomfortably on a small table, beads of sweat trickled down forming a moat. A lonely ice cube bobbed gently in the sweet amber liquid, a hand lurches forth from the darkness gripping the tumbler between his thumb and forefinger. As the glass was raised the moat was released, flooding the nearby dark grainy desert.

Their lips met tenderly, old lovers re-united, his mouth opened slowly allowing the cool liquid to flow gently over his tongue, the taste filled his mind with memories of times past, better times. He clenched his eyes and raised the glass sharply, the liquid gushed into his mouth only stopping when the lonely cube crashed into the white wall of his mouth.

The sweet poison trickled down his throat, merging with itself once again in the bubbling cauldron of his stomach. The new liquid caused the sea to swirl violently, the flotilla of technicolor icebergs crashed into each other, their melting hastened, their contents fizzing softly on the waves.

The two lovers parted slowly, one returned to its former defensive home.

He whispered softly,

"It won’t be long now"
