My pc wont even start now

i was trying zonealarm..coz i need a firewall with dmz enabled and everything ...i knew zonealarm was gonna give me trouble with bit torrent but i liked the interface of it compared to others so i was prepared to give it a go

anyway i installed it..and at the end as usual please restart to finish installation..fair enough! so i did

restarted..platinum screen came up..then the windows loading bar..then just as my wallpaper is about to come up and everything..i just make out a BSOD for about half a second and it restarts itself!..same point everytime!

what the hell is it doing!, im currently trying to repair my installation of windows but if this doesnt work i dont have a clue! nothings overclocked (well vid card but nothing that would really make the pc restart like this) ive put it all back to stock and nothing!!!

anyone else experienced this before?

There is a known issue with older versions of zone alarm and XP. If thats the problem start it in safe mode (hold down F8 key when booting) and remove Zone alarm. Get the latest version of Zone Alarm.

ah yes well i just repaired xp and ..i still got the bsod so i just tried safe mode now and ive got in..so yeh ill remove that now and see if it helps, thanks


ohhhh im back in normal mode..hoorar, bit of a scare there :eek: damn you zonealarm!
