eircom master socket

    Any one know how to wire in an extn to the master socket. There are 3 terminals in there. any ideas please?

    The master socket I have here has 2 sets of 3 terminals. So with the faceplate off, and looking at the front of the socket.. the incoming line is terminated on the outer 2 pins of the right hand terminal block. The extensions are coming off the outer 2 pins of the left terminal block.

    To the best of my knowledge, the middle pin is to do with the built in capacitance ring-generator for the older phones that had a ring line.
