This one is ABsolutely true, on me Mum's eyes, those here who know me may recognize me as not of the prevaricating type, no need for that. Anyway this happened several years ago in me travels. .. as it turns out I've been fortunate enough to have lived in not a few countries and have visited perhaps 30 or so in toto around the big blue marble.

Well sir a few years ago I found meself in country X let us say... pardon the anonymity there but really the particular country don't matter... and there I woke up one day and says to myself, "Well Draggie old boy here you are 5 zillion miles from nowhere and no relationship, nothing, let's start this thing called life up anew here shall we?"

So I get up and start looking - I go to the frequent places, pubs, etc., ...across Internet, across everywhere, and pretty soon I finds a lass who seems real promising... soon we are together for months and I start to learn the real truth behind the facades.

What I have picked... AGAIN... for the umpteenth time... is a lady who has either 1) has some addiction which she tries to hide (unsuccessfully) ... 2) comes from an alcoholic home (or addicted household) and the family members are all screwed up... 3) been abused by a family member or an authority figure in her upbringing. 4) shows serious indicators of sociopathy herself (perhaps because her mum drank while she was preggers) or - grand total 5 *SOME combination of ALL of the *above!

Now what irony is this, I sit here contemplating some mornings when I log into this board... how many times do we do this? I mean, how it is that I can go to a completely public place, be it a pub or even an internet board... looking for a simple life and person who is just clean and sane... and pick out and am attracted to *the one *from * hell!

Anyone here gie me some insight? My picker seems brokener thye further I gets.

personally i get where your coming from every guy i end up with is either voilent has bad past or drinks to much or what ever.. but then i take to steps back and look at my child hood and say i'm far from perfect why judge him on his imperfections
