My mums has gone kaput and we're keen to try and find one cheap as chips. Anyone spotted any offers anywhere?

Not to be pedantic...but you'd be better off investing in a decent, new, AA-rated one, you'll save yourself thousands over its lifetime.

I agree with Pet, you're better spending the extra few euro and getting a decent one. Candy and Indesit are amongst the cheaper ones.

There is currently a promotion on selected Hoover machines where you can get a free mountain bike (though it takes about 2 months to get the bike), and Siemens are offering a full 5 year Parts & Labour warranty on most of their machines.

Just bought a washing machine recently in DID, for new place, we didn't look at bargain machines were impressed with the 5 years parts and labour that the manufacturers were giving.

If only I had known about the bike offer from Hoover....
