    hey guys,
i'm in need of some advice, i live in cork and am looking for a place that does either kickboxing or tae kwon do and preferably during the day cause i work nights.
also biggest thing is that i'm overweight and really unfit so i dont want to go some place too intimidating. i have done kickboxing before but it was in the states and it was a really friendly place so am a bit worried about doing it here.
can anyone help? would really love to get started soon as i suck at sports and this was the only work out i've ever enjoyed.
    thanks!

above is a link for a muay thai club in Cork, dont waste your time with kickboxing!! Personally think its **** no offence to kickboxers its just a personal opinion!! I dont know if the gym is open during the day or not but contact them! You'll be fit in no time believe me!!

    good luck!!!

I do Taekwondo and if Iwere you I wouldn't be at all worried about being unfit or being intimidated. I've trained in lots of different clubs and my experience is that beginners in particuar will be allowed go at their own pace. People generally understand it takes time to build up fitness. It coud be difficult to find places to train during the day. Try the UCC club website.

I do TKD in Cork with INTA associated clubs. We've had three adult males start in our club (Passage West) recently and they're loving it. Fitness levels and agility were an issue at the start for them, but they stuck with it and are coming along really well now, after just a few months. TKD is a great way of exercising.

Have a look at the website and contact the Cork clubs that interest you. There are clubs in Passage West, the North Mon, Wilton, Turner's Cross, Togher and Glanmire. I can vouch for all the instructors as being decent men. Any of them would be more than happy for you to come and watch a class or two before you decide to sign up.

PM me if you'd like for more info
