need singer and guitarist

Dahlia have lost their frontman and wish to find a singer with an awsome voice and a kick ass guitarist (or if you can do both, great!) to get us back up and rolling again.

Dahlia was an alt-rock band, but we are hoping to make a fresh start (under a different name not chosen yet). We will retain some of our pumpkins inspired sound but will not be limiting ourselves, so we are not looking for a hired gun but someone open-minded with their own ideas and opinions who will help take the new band to greater heights.

Our influences are many and broad ranging but to mention a few: Smashing Pumpkins, Thin Lizzy, Rem, Foo Fighters, Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Tool, Papa Roach, Muse, Oasis, Rory Gallagher, Metallica, Offspring, Alice in Chains, Hendrix, Iron Maiden, The Black Mages (had to put this in Niall ). Our average age is 19 but we dont care too much about ages as long as you can do the job and do it good.

No preference, if youre a great singer or legend guitarist (or both) then youre welcome to come along to a practice and see what its like. Were based in dublin, we practice in applerock studios on sundays either 9.30-1.30 or 2-6, probably start practicing together more when we get back on track. Send me or Niall an email with some details about yourself if your interested.

horrible horrible times!! thats why i'm still lookin!!

basically i work sun-wed 10.30am-9pm.. so after 9pm is good:) but apple rock do late night james don't they? so i can do anynight at this time!

i can jam thurs and fri's at any time whatsoever.... and saturdays after 5.30 pm cos i'm in pulse recording then.. so technically i can still jam 7 times a week.. its just the times that don't suit other bands:(

yea they are crap hours, we might be able to accomodate some thurs and friday sessions with the possibility of saturday, I dont know yet (keith our drummer works similarly **** hours). I'll get back to you as soon as i can.

Holy crap that's a lot of influences! I'd like to help only the hours don't suit and all I can play is Muse (Matt Bellamy is our new rock messiah, praise him for he is perfect.) Good luck with that anyway

I'm a guitarist and I'd be interested. I'm just listening to that song far out and its very good. I like the same kind of stuff as you. The hours are a bit awkward for me as (week day evenings would suit a bit better) but I probably could work it for 2-6pm on a Sunday. My favourite bands are zeppelin, guns n roses, metallica, hendrix and smashing pumpkins. I've got a few riffs written, mainly blues and heavy metal.
