NTL digital multiroom setup?

    Hi,
I have just moved into a new house & wanted to setup a cable-tv network, so I can view tv in multiple rooms. I got NTL digital, my STB has no RF-out.
    My setup is as follows.
I use the RF-out on my video to send the standard(rte 1, bbc1, etc) & digital(sky sports, movies etc) channels around the house. I have a Y coupler on the video RF-out, one cable is goin to my tv RF input & the other cable is goin to a booster in the attic, then I feed tv's in other rooms with cables running from the booster.

1)The reception is very poor, is there a way to improve the signal?

2)Whats the best type coax cable & connectors etc?

    3)Whats best type booster etc?

    Thanx in advance

    Hanloka
