system spec in sigs :(

whats with all the users with their system specs in their sigs + a picture
so the sig takes up half the screen @ 1024x768 res

if you are one of these people can you explain it?

people who post alot in "Computers" or "Tweaking/Modding" usualy put their specs in sigs so they dont have to type it out everytime they're posting advice or looking for help. I guess theres an element of showing off involved too. I don't know about a pic, i don't have one...

I didnt know it was a problem, i use 1920 x 1200 most of the time...

Aye, that's why i have mine there! Altho i do reckon you could flatten it out a bit Jammer!!!

My pics are purely to raise the awareness for SSF and will be removed after xmas. sorry for any inconvenience caused but i do reckon tis a good cause!

for a somewhat serious answer. on other boards having the rig in sig saves a lot of hassle for pure techie boards such as overclockers.co.uk and hexus.net and such saves you have to say what you have each time you have a problem or want to ask a question.

the same applies here but in a much more limited fashion so it boils down to mainly showing off to people to other people who actually care about such things
