Hi, am trying to find a hotel that is open over the Christmas period for my brother, father and I that is in either Dublin or Kildare. Mum is in hospital so we do not plan on spending too much time there but we still need to have some type of Christmas. Sorry for posting this so early but we need to book sooner rather than later. Thanks.

Im sure all the main Hotels are open for business over the Xmas although it might be an idea to book now,the old woman who used to live next door to me used to go to a Hotel for her dinner every Xmas... ;)

Yeah - you wouldnt believe how busy hotels are over xmas - you'd be doing right to book now - I used to work in one in Arklow and the place used to be booked out completely every year!

Im sure you'll find somewhere now though.

My mother may either be in Naas or Beaumont hospital for Christmas (depending on tests in December). Thanks.

I use www.laterooms.com - you can only book a month in advance so you might have to wait for the dates to become available - they give the best prices on a per room basis

Maynooth wouldn't be too far away from either altho it'd be closer to naas. Glenroyal Hotel or Straffan Court Hotel are two here, afaik they're in phonebook. Straffan Court is nicer but I don't know what prices are like in either, sorry

The Glenroyal is about €75 per night - rooms are nice enough.

Stay away from the niteclub though!
