ITV3 on NTL

It's been confirmed that Granda plus is no more as of this evening. In a last minute move, on SKY ITV3 moves to epg 119 and ITV2 to 118, with ITV buying out SKYs share in the Granda plus channel.

Whats going to happen to Granda Plus on NTL here? Over in the UK they are getting ITV3.

The launch is tonight at 9. Any chances we're going to get it too?!?

Yep it's gone, just a white screen with the Granada Plus logo and Granada Sky Broadcasting, and no I doubt that we will get ITV3, however note to NTL: 117=ITV2 118=ITV3.

We dont get ITV 2 yet! Also is anyone having trouble with UK Gold? Its a black screen with interupted sound down here.

Still now such news about it on ntl here though, I suppose we should just wait & see. See here.

If Plus was not replaced with ITV3 it would be a big loss from the ntl line-up

More then likey we'll get it at 9pm, only to have it removed in the morning when they realise it's launched.

It's probably taken NTL by surprise (much as the rest of us). Hopefully ITV3 will appear in Plus's place when they get around to switching it.

It is the message that is showing on the UK networks. ITV3 is available on #118 (Langley) & #8 (Bromley). I don't think it's anything to do with here.

Well, the fact that it says "ntl: home" rather than simply "ntl:" plus the fact that there are two channel numbers (for Langely and Bromely), makes it a dead giveaway that this is a message aimed in fact at NTL UK subscribers, who are getting ITV3 on 118. The fact that this is the channel Plus was on in Ireland has confused people - it was on 301 in UK.

NTL Ireland don't seem to have realised that the channel has closed down...

the guy at ntl told me at 7pm when i rang up "the reason you have a blank screen is because the plus contract runs til 9pm and itv3 should switch over automatically" they must have a special department for making this stuff up

ITV2 is supposed to be on the way.

The message on Plus has now disappeared and there's just a black screen.

I guess NTL will simply just remove the channel and brush it off :rolleyes:

Over on digital Spy UK NTL customers are saying they only got it after a reboot, I doubt it will work here, I'd try only for I've a tape set and don't want to go messing with it.

I did it a couple of times around 9.30 /10- the channel still said "Plus" and just a black screen in its place. I would love to be wrong, but i dont see NTL Ireland deciding to throw ITV3 at us just because Plus has gone.

This is the same company who replaced Eurosport with MSNBC

Just got another email about the other channels, it sent the ITV3 attachment again.

Unfortunately, we do not have any information on the channels such as Challenge TV, Hallmark2 at this moment in time.

Two things, it never mentions ITV2, so is it coming soon??, also they respond very quickly, I'm shocked.

Digiguide list programs for PLUS for the next week, but it seems to be the ITV3 listing.
