Well I found time at last to go into the Fitz yesterday,it was my first Casino game so I was a bit nervous to say the least.I went in for the FreeRoll on Saturday at 4:30,a very nice chap Richard gave me a quick run down before the action got going.Thank god there were some people in the club learning to deal and they helped out as I don't think I would have been up to dealing  .

I got put at table two and alot of the people seemed to know each other which worried me at first I don't no why it just did.My target for my first trip in was not to be the first knocked out (I no I set very high standards for myself :D ) on our table. We all got 700 chips to start with,my first hand I folded and then on my second hand I find myself looking at a pair of A...Happy days I call and we see the flop nothing for me but they were all low cards so I reckon at this stage I have the best hand so I raise to 200 everybody folds and I have won my first hand,it feels GREAT if I taught I was hooked on playing Hold-em online its nothing compared to winning at a table.A couple of hands later I get a "Poker of Kings"....some of the lads around the table say its been a year or two since they last saw that hand,I win this hand aswell. So I am holding my own and the rebuys start....the first to rebuy at my table was Richard the chap who helped me out when I first poped in,Richard went all in IMO trying to bully a novice and it did not work.We get to the brake and I did not Rebuy so I am happy also a Chinese Girl was out so I have reached my target. One or two more start to drop out once the rebuys are not allowed and the blinds get bigger including another chap who works at the club.I was knocked out around 7 when I was forced to go all in when my chips were very low.

So I was very happy with my first trip in,as I said if I was not hooked before I am now.I was also happy that I did not have to rebuy as I worked away on making my chips grow.I have learnt a few things 1)they way I see it in this competition you have to win alot of early hands as it gets very expensive to even see the flop later on.2)when I do get a good hand not to get two excited and try and make as much as I can from it...I was trying to scare them off to early.

So it looks like you lot are stuck with me now :D .Thanks for all the help lads....as without this site I may not have gone in.

Hey Dub13, I was sitting next to the chinese girl. I went out soon after her I think (possibly the same hand) and then came back to play Normans stack for him as he had to leave (I negotiated an extra ticket for the table and then obligingly went out next!)

I think I remember you...its nice to put a face to the name Dev....I was in the conner right beside a chap in a Lenster top who I think was more interested in the Rugby on the TV than the Poker...!!!Nice to play at the same table as you Dev (even if we did not no).

I am completely hooked now....so I am going to try and clear out my Saturdays for a while,so you guys are stuck with me.Did your post last week about dealer training have anything to do with the dealer training going on there on Sat...?Thanks again for the help.

I'm still looking for dealers by the way... PM me if there are any reasonably experienced players out there who want to go on a weekend away and deal for pay.

    DeV.

ps: I had a red Kickers top on and was working with Luke training dealers.

About half the population of any freeroll in the city is made up of Boards these days! :)
We (and SuitedAces) have a lot to answer for!

We could start a players Union.... :D

How about the BPPU....Boards Poker Players Union,I can see it in the papers now.Today the militant BPPU (Boards Poker Players Union) pulled out of all tournaments in Dublin they want better terms and conditions for their members and better hands delt to BPPU members.More as we get it.

Sorry I have a bit of spare time on my hands today and just went of on a mad one there.
