Question for installers - How much could i be charged?

Pretty soon, i plan to have my old 80 cm dish currently fixed to the wall with twin output LNB moved so i can use a monoblock with it.

I then plan to put another 80 cm dish above this for Sky digital.
    This job will require :
New installation of a dish, though cabling is already in place just needs to be moved from dish below.
And to re-align my old dish, install the monoblock and tack up the cabling which is also already in place, just needs some securing.

How much could i expect to pay an installer for these jobs?.
And also, how much would be too much to pay in this case?.

I suppose your right. I would be interested to hear from members who have had various installation jobs like this done to see how much they paid.

Do you really want an 80cm dish for Sky? A smaller 60cm would suffice and maybe look less messy?

I know you didn't ask info but did you think of DIY as I get great satisfaction from completing my various sat jobs.

    Where are you based???

Totally agree, Greenman! I finally managed to set up my Lidl system...

I know, it's been months since I bought it and last night I thought I'd give it another (lost count) try because I wanted to watch the UEFA Cup Besiktas-Bilbao game... I was able to first get some picture (for the first time ever) and then I set up the channel I wanted because it wasn't preset... The feeling, indescribable!!! Until we (Bilbao) lost, that is.

So why not try it yourself? My dish is tied to the balcony rail! And I don't consider myself a handyman at all.

Thanks to all of you I got info from. Because of your disinterested help I was able to set up my system.

    Cheers!

Excuse my English... What I mean is that people here give info without wanting anything in return... other than help when they need it. Am I wrong or just too naive?

Inigo I think is right if he means impartial and absence of selfish motives.

    It´s OK, Tony.

BTW, I´ve got a quick question, I hope. After attaching my dish to the balcony rail I was able to get stations from Turksat at 42 deg E. The balcony runs along the north to south axis and the dish is on the left corner closer to the north, because the other corner is blocked by vegetation that runs west to east at a right angle to my balcony. The fact is that when pointing at Turksat the side of the dish is about 2 inches from the rail. I tried to get the signal from other sats (Astra at 28.2 and 19.2) but haven't had any luck.

So the question is, is it possible to know from this info whether I have enough room to turn the dish in order to get the Astra sats at 28.2 and 19.2? What's approximately the inclination in degrees for these sats?

    Thanks!
