Is it possible to do the following:

Ive 2 PC's, both running Windows 2000 Pro. 1 Scanner with USB connection.

Can I share the scanner between the 2 PC's using a USB hub?

i believe not, as they are 4 inputs into 1, and not 1 input into 4.

4 being the number of ports on the hub

    No [edit]without special usb hub.

Only the master computer it's attached to can see the USB device. If the software allows it to be shared then that's a different story.

Most scanners nowadays have a "scan to file" button. ie. press the button and it scans to a folder, you could share that folder so the person on the second computer would be able to use the scanner without disturbing the other person.

[edit]That looks like a handy yoke alright ..
