I’m looking for a FREE program to make pdf files out of word documents. A search on Download.com came up with the following list. Does anybody have any opinions on them, or recommendations for other programs?

PDF ReDirect 1.1: Create PDF documents through the print command. (87% rating)
PrimoPDF 1.0: Print to PDF from Windows applications and optimize the PDF output. (94% rating)
CutePDF Printer 1.2: Create Adobe PDF files for free with the push of a button. (91% rating)

    Thanks!

primo did the trick perfectly for me. when you go to print a doc (or html) it gives you the option to use the printer or pdf. very subtle and works well.

"Big Download" being a small 40mb or so file. Get it here: http://download.openoffice.org/1.1.3/index-nojs.html

OpenOffice will do it for you alright. Just load it up and click on the PDF icon.

PDFcreator can also apply security to documents to restrict copying, can also export in other graphic formats too..

attached pdfcreator.ppd - replace the existing one and remove and reinstalll pdfcreator to get page sizes up to A0
