    You'd put DS9 over TNG?
    Oh dear... highly illogical.

It was actually the war that raised my vote its actually more a level footing of

    TNG / DS9

    then voyager

its just the war is more recent

I also love the borg in voyager

i must say i truely enjoyed that episode. Very "nice" way to end the series.(Lookin for better way to say that) It has been one of the best series finales so far, please note i haven't seen the finale to the origanal series.

I want that armour and those trans phasic torpedos god dammit.

    Em what???

DS9 is way better than anything else, sure it started ****, but as soon as they got the defiant, it kicked major star trek ass.

Scott Bakula (quantum leap) is the lead in the new enterprise, and I have to say I'm looking forward to watching that.

I don't think they finished the Borg off completely, as was said there are 6 hubs in the galaxy and I think that they were all isolated, after all how do you explain the sphere not gettin destroyed (sooner) by the virus.

Hobbes if you're reading is Enterprise on over there yet?? (you know what I mean), is it any good??

It was better than I was expecting, but still standard Voyager i.e. not too hot. Suffered from the usual Star Trek problem of all being nicely wrapped up in the last five minutes of the episode.

Could have been worse, could have been considerably better. That seems destined to be Voyager's epitaph smile.gif

ba ds9 final was allot better, the way the 4 episodes before hand lead up to the final it really was the best ever final,

voyager one wasnt bad, except the people looked to damn old, it was only 33 years,

i liked the way the borg died in the end, but certain things didnt fit with the old borg, like if they could land a cube on earths door step why didnt they do that in tng, and why not 100 or a 1000 of them, they would kick ass,

but back to the point, it was a very good finale, which would have been a great lead for a new serie 33 years or 40 years in the future, i jsut feel going backwards to the start of the fideration, while interesting isnt series standard, maybe a film, and the guy they picked to be capton, is type casted as a goody goody, which will be a flaw as theres enough ****e on the tv with out that,

Maybe they had only recently discovered how to extend their "transwarp conduits" that far... and didn't they do it in "First Contact" anyway?

I agree with the rest of what you say though smile.gif Quite a good finale, although it could have been a bit more dramatic and rousing at the end - with a party on Earth followed by Janeway sitting in a room looking out to the stars and saying something profound... closing the story off completely, instead of seeming like we should tune in next week to see if they make it the few thousand miles back to Earth rolleyes.gif

Care to speculate on movie prospects for the Voyager crew?

i dont know about a movie, i feel they would be limited in what they could do, would it be set before or after they got home, it couldnt have the borg, as i allready feel voyager depended on the borg far to much for there decent moments, and the fact theres allready been a movie,
if they do it before they arrive home me have time travill(because how could me explain it not fitting in) in which somebody does something and somebody goes back and fixes it, its allready been played out far to often in star trek.

id hate to see something like the last movie, god i wasted 5 pounds on that piece of crap, i feel if they cant make a exceelent film they should pass rather then make a half assed one,
This beta Quadrant sounds interesting though

but i agree voyager was hardly trilling, this weekend showed some of the very best episodes of the series, they just didnt have the big enemy that DS9 had, or the orginality of TNG, still ive seen worse,

as a wise man once said, star Trek is an excellent Sci Fi when it remembers thats what its meant to be.

Must Say, Great Finalle. I did Think it ended a bit premature tho. They could have done @ least a 10 min section of them getting to earth and soforth.

Also, Tuvok is ment to be about 300 years old or so, Is he really gonna age that much over 33 years ?

Watched it, and was a bit disappointed. Time-travel to me seemed the ultimate of techo-babble plot devices. And I agree with the comments that the ending was rather abrupt. Still they made it home, where all the Marquis get put in jail as a dissedent organisation smile.gif

    Side note:
    DS9
    Original
    TNG
    Voyager

Yeah, brill I thought too, legged it home (30 miles!) to see it. I was hoping to see the homecoming party too, but didn't we see that at the very start of part 1 of that episode? The homecoming would be the same wouldn't it? A movie could be possible, set 5 years ahead maybe, going to save 1 or other of the crew, maybe Captain Kim would be in trouble, or maybe Captain Braxton, or one of his colleagues would come back, ****ed of about what Admiral Janeway did, and trying to change history (again!). Anyway definite cool.gif to that episode

Hmm if you actually listened to the episode, after the poision infected the queen the entire transwarp network collapsed....which has basically screwed the borg from being a threat for a very long time....shame really

Dammit Monty, you're right, the borg ***** (actually she was sexy in her own sleeky way) did fall to peices, heres my (hopeful scenarios)

    1) She was only queen at that hub..hense that was why she was there personally..there are six others

    or

    2) The Borg are temporily "individuals", mass cube self destructs etc...now they are mad..section zero zero one must pay(maybe a mad alliance with species 8472)!!

    Dammit, the Borg cannot die

yeah - but it forces them to be inventive again and use some new 'baddies' wink.gif Sometimes the Borg were all to easy to fall back on for a plot...

Final paragraph of http://www.startrek.com/library/borg/individuals/borgqueen.html should clear some things up - earlier paragraphs explain how its not actually the same Queen we see in every episode/movie appearance.

It's an above average Voyager episode but I've given up on this show years ago. it still had too many plot holes and again shows lack of respect for previous plot devices. Where was the temporal starship who's mission is to stop people tampering with timelines? A device that can travel to a specific time and location can't be modified to open another rift in a location near earth without a change in time or maybe a second into the future or past? Of course if they made 10 more minutes of the ending you'd see Janeway and gang arrested for messing with the timeline and using technology from the future. Send them all to a prison planet, now that'd have been a different and worth talking about ending.

Well thats definatly not the answer...admril Janeway used the network to get to sector 001 and infected the queen that was there....thus blowing the place to pieces. As the network was administered by sec. 001 its finished unless the borg can rebuild it...

Also the fact that the queen could only communicate with 1 sphere suggests that the collective was not much of a collective anymore...This would kill the advantage of every borg vessel becomming immune to weapons that only one vessel may encounter.

The borgs future dose not look very good at all. Time for some new (original) enemies smile.gif

ok, that was a class episode and will watch it again biggrin.gifbiggrin.gifbiggrin.gifbiggrin.gif. Those weapons were kick a$$ , ablative armour, transphasic torpedoes, i think thats enough to kill most enemies ffs. If they made a movie about it, it could be about fighting species 8472 as they find out about earth and decide to invade because they have interfered by destroying the borg queen and one of the hubs . I'd say they could have a movie if it went along the lines of the above mentioned story and i don't think this enterprise will be any good either.

I TOTALLY AGREE THAT DS9 RATES NO1 ..AT LEAST FROM SEASON 3 ONWARDS..
No doubt TNG was brilliant - BUt DS9 kept u coming back again and again....
Voyager sadly ranks a mediorcre 3rd..why? well - Although it got a lot better as of series 4 onwards. It just didnt have as much impact as the earlier two and sometimes the acting was painfully obvious! Go figure

DS9 doesnt even come close to TNG. DS9 had the largest number of absolutely mind numbingingly boring episodes of any of the Trek series. Most only watched it because of the battles.

Strange concidence that after the 3rd season of DS9 the Defiant was introduced and the series went into combat overdrive, and that after the 4th season of Voyager Seven of Nine was introduced. Did you like Independence Day by any chance ? smile.gif
