Whats the new series - something about ST Academy?

Kill, kill, kill the laser mice.

I've seen the ending twice - its alright. Much better ending than the DS9 one, which was tbh, rubbish. The new series, "Enterprise" is set shortly after First Contact... No federation, no cardassians, no ferengi etc...

Yeah whats is there a new seriers of Star Trek planed?

Like not DS9 a new one completly?

For all the Voyager fans out there this is a time of sadness.....because next monday on sky one is the final episode of voyager frown.gif
I was hoping it would go o for a bit longer but the inevitable had to happen and it's here in 6 days. I liked last night's one but i can't wait to see if they make it home or not. And on the weekend i will watch the episodes where they fight the borg in their home. I hope i'm not the only one unhappy about this....... frown.gif

Yes, I have to say i'll be a bit sad when Voyager ends. Despite some peoples opinions, Voyager had a great cast of characters, many of which i'll miss seeing when it all ends. Hopefully the next film will involve the Voyager crew, if there is another film.

Scott Bakula, that guy from Quantom Leap, is going to be the captain in "Enterprise" isn't he?

    Oh no! "Oh boy!"

He better have taken some acting classes!

I've seen a few pics of the new engine room and other areas of the "Enterprise" in the new series... I wasn't overly impressed tbh. Rumour has it that they are using the Akira class ship model (from ST: First Contact) as the Enterprise. If this is true it will look a tad stupid concidering its supposed to be set around 300 years earlier.

Afaik the crew of the Earth ship Enterprise consists of a human male captain similar to Kirk and a Vulcan first officer (ugh...). Don't really know anymore than that though.

Connor Trinneer (Charles 'Trip' Tucker, III)

I cant wait to see if theres Klingons in it. If there is they have the interesting problem of what they should look like : Current 'worf' style or 'crap 60's make up and costume' style a la T.O.S.

Remember in the Tribbles DS9 episode when they saw the old make-up on the Klingons and Worf said:

Apparently the new show will deal with the Romulan/Earth and Klingon/Earth wars. I may be wrong but the first episode of Enterprise is about Earths first contact with the Klingons, who speak a different language to the humans (no stupid universal translator BS, yay!)

i read on the official site somewhere that the main trek guy (forget his name) said in an interview, that for the Klingons, they are going to be using the modern look. since theyve been using it since the second movie.

    Shouldn't that be "Alpha", Hobbes?

Sky One have gone a bit Voyager bonkers over the past few days... I'll definitely watch the final episode there 'tonight'.

From the advert, the final episode looks like a basic "come back to us Seven" Borg type theme with a bit of a TNG "All Good Things" thing thrown in (with the old version of Janeway)... could be crap alright, but I'd still want to see it.

As for Scott Bakula... well - hell - I loved Quantum Leap as a teen ... his biog reads 'Okayyy'... and he's a much better singer than "The Shat" ... so... well... we'll see, eh? biggrin.gif

The episode is pretty good, but it lacks a proper, exciting, meaningful climax. It just sort of trundles along, has a minor climax, and then goes on for a bit, then has another climax. TNG still has the best series finale.
