Im a student from Galway currently living in Germany and im looking at getting some sort of eurorail pass to get me to belgium and holland...
i looked on the web site
    http://www.eurail.com/

But one thing really confused me.
    it states on the site,
"Eurail Passes and prices are only available for persons who do NOT have residence in Europe, Turkey, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia or the Russian Federation (the former Soviet Union)."

    ??
so does anyone know where can i get eurorail tickets that apply to people who HAVE residence in Europe...
    Any help is appreciated...

Wouldnt have thought you need a 'eurorail' ticket if you just going to Holland/Belgium.
Pop down to your local Bahnhof and they will give you all the info. They used to offer a 'Guten Abend' ticket up until recent times - check and see if they still do. With it, you travel after 19:00 and arrive at destination no later than 02:00 at a discounted rate. Used to be very cheap. Also, they used to have a 'Shoenes Wochenende' ticket for discounted travel at weekends.

Check out www.deutschebahn.de ...should have all the info you need.

yea i just noticed there that interrail is for eu residents and eurorail for non european residents...
    bad form...
The Non european residents get better options than us...
For example they have this zone..
    Germany,belgium,holland and luxemberg...
That would be perfect for me but the closest option i can get to that with the interrail is
    France, Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg
so i would still have to pay for the train before i get to the border of holland as germany is not included in this zone...
