Taking this map (20041025) and this map (20040801) and putting them together, would appear to indicate it's largely democrats that are dieing in Iraq (notwithstanding that many in the military vote Republican)

Very clever! But maybe it's got more to do with more densely populated areas tending to vote Democrat ...

An the prize for the most scaremongering title goes to .....
A quick google puts about 69% support from the Military for Bush. He is hardly likely to purge his own supporters like this is he?

Well he could put the other 31% to hotspots considering the military vote is not a secret ballot. :p Hows that for scaremongering.

Where did you get that figure from btw?

I haven't seen any polls on the military vote...but I really am confused as to how someone could vote for the guy that put them in a desert surrounded by people that want to kill them.

Why don't you have a more realistic thread title of "Bush regime kills off more republicans than democrats"? The military usually votes about 70-30 in favour of the repubs.
Jeez, talk about making a stretch.

    Hi Hobbes

Hmmm, that moving 31% to Iraq does have some merit. :)
