Once it passes through Blanch village, it stops at any stop when you press the button AFAIK

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,698 ✭✭✭garthv

stops at all the stops on the clonsilla road and then turns right before the little shopping centre in clonsilla

Westmoreland Street, Phibsboro Church, Cabra, Ashtown Roundabout (Halfway House), Castleknock, Blanchardstown Village (Mill Road), Clonsilla Road, Hartstown, Huntstown, Blakestown, Corduff, Tyrrelstown

castleknock ? where abouts in castleknock, near carpenterstown ?
I dont think it goes near coolmine road ? no clue where clonsilla road is
70N times are a bit crappy.

    thanks.

as far as I know it takes the 38 routing through Castleknock village, then into Blanch village itself and left at the Garda station brings it onto the Clonsilla Road.

Otherwise call Phibsboro garage (7033284 / 7033462) and I'm sure they can tell you (as that's where the 37/38/39s operate from :)

Yeah it goes the 38 route through Castleknock (past Myos) and the Clonsilla Road is the road from the Garden House chinese up to Clonsilla village.

thanks guy, that would mean it goes through coolmine road no ?
coolmine road [if you walk down from it, it will take you to coolmine train station]
i remember taking it once cause 70N wasnt there and it dropped me off there]

No. Travels past the Coolmine Road, not down Coolmine Road. as pointed out already, get off at Coolmine Woods. That stop is directly across from Coolmine Road and is located on Clonsilla Road.

Is there not a road called Coolmine Woods AND a bunch of trees called Coolmine woods?

im gonna take the old fashioned meaning of woods as to do with the bunch of trees on this one ;)

afaik there is no road called coolmine woods, the path going through would be as close as you get

It was a retorical question. There is a road called Coolmine Woods, and its the stop before Coolmine Road, so if you get off there you'd be at the wrong place.

Yeah but I specified that the stop was on the Clonsilla Road, opposite Coolmine Road to help the guy out.

The way you said it is confusing. "Coolmine woods" could be confused with the the road "Coolmine woods" since theres also a bus stop there too, is also on Clonsilla road, and if you want to be fussy theres a line of trees and a small green there too. ;) Since he doesn't know Clonsilla RD he obviously doesn't know the area at all. Since Clonsilla RD is the major road in the area. He won't recognise Coolmine road junction either.

I realise at this point I'm not helping.... :D

It was a joke, but on that note.....the Nitelink isn't as cheap as it used to be. 4 quid to Phibsboro/Cabra is clearly better value than a taxi for a lone traveller but once you have a group of 2 or more it isn't so attractive. I doubt we'll ever see anything other than a flat fare on Nitelink because drunk people are impossible to deal with (so no driver is going to go upstairs to tackle someone who's only paid as far as Phibsboro but stays on to Blanch etc.). Nitelinks (Nachtlinien) in Munich (and elsewhere of course) are coved by your daily/weekly/monthy travel pass. It costs not a penny more to get home after a skinfull.

*Edited to remove 'annual' from list.

For the record, travel on Nitelinks is covered by Dublin Bus Annual Bus only and Bus/Rail passes.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 107 ✭✭Intel

The nitelink is not covered on on a 30 day student bus/luas pass or a 7 day student bus pass.

    As train user stated:

Annual Tickets are vaild on Nitelink services.
